In this article, the author offers her own reflection on her parish?s response to the Year of Faith and explores some of the issues which might present themselves as we now prepare for the 2014 Extraordinary Synod on the Family. Bridie Stringer is from the Diocese of Portsmouth and a visiting lecturer at St Mary?s University College, Twickenham.

The door is always open and ?to enter through that door is to set out on a journey that lasts a lifetime.?1
